I had the birth I wanted and I wasn’t scared

Hamish Ernest arrived into the world at 11:54pm Wednesday night on July 1st! 3.6 kg

I had the birth I wanted and I wasn’t scared thanks to doing your course. I was prepared and confident knowing my body and baby knew what they were doing and to just trust it even if it hurt, knowing that the pain I felt wasn’t something I couldn’t handle, which is what I kept telling myself. With each surge I knew my body was bringing him down and down, and I knew I would always have a rest after each one.

I had a short 8 hour natural labour just using the TENS machine while at home, arrived at the hospital nearly fully dilated and ready and give birth in the bath a few hours later. We had fancy lights, an oil diffuser and played my affirmations.
